LOCAL INFORMATION AND LINKS
GOATHLAND
Goathland
is a small village in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors and has recently
been used as a location for the TV series, "Heartbeat".
The village has a Post Office, General Store, Craft and Souvenir shops and small cafes. Several hotels have a full licence and offer lunches, evening meals and bar snacks.
A collection of aerial photos helps to see the village’s geography. http://www.webbaviation.co.uk/goathland/heartbeat.htm is worth a look.
See ITV's Heartbeat TV series in www.retrowow.co.uk for more info on this long running TV show, and more sixties, seventies and eighties stuff.
